Following a member's inspired choice of the Australian Troubadors who are a folky sort of band, let's go to The Music Institute Folk Club in Guildford to see TRIO THRELFALL
'Jane & Amanda Threlfall, working with musician Roger Edwards, are universally acknowledged as natural ambassadors for English traditional song. Their approach is endearingly self-effacing and commentators highlight the sisters' consummate ability to reinterpret songs from the English lexicon with freshness and vitality. 'They are such warm and engaging performers that the overall sensation is simply uplifting'.'
Cost £9 in advance, £10 on the night. Not sure if they sell out, probably best to buy a ticket in advance. Visit

We'll meet at Guildford Tup in Chertsey Street for a drink around 7pm and make our way over around 7.40. It's a sports pub but there is no football or rugby scheduled on this date so hopefully it won't be too loud / busy.
The doors at the Guildford Institute open at 7.30 and the event starts at 8pm. PLEASE post a picture so we know who to look out for! Those of you that know me know I don't rest until all members are accounted for!
