What Cynthia S. is saying about this Meetup Group

I thought our tabling was extremely successful. Kudos to Zia, Lafayette, and Dianne for doing the heavy lifting ~ literally and figuratively ~ of shopping, set-up, and take-down, plus "manning" the booth the entire day. My two hours there (noon to two) were delightful. I found people open-minded and ready to try the Tofurky sausages that I was hawking plus the soy milk (though soy milk is more familiar to more folks). I was suprised at the number of people who had a family member or two who were vegan and most impressed at the little girl, couldn't have been older than six, who had made her own decision to go vegan. Wish I'd asked her to tell her story ~ it happened to be a busy moment, but a missed opportunity nonetheless. At the November AVA meeting I propose that those of us who have worked at one of the 2 festivals to each share our pitch and how it played with the visitors. Also, I have some ideas for how to enhance our display even further.
