I grew up with Taiwanese style breakfast/brunch. It's homey, comforting and yummy. It's standard for having such as of our breakfast on the table: Chinese donuts accompany with fresh fragrant sweet soybean milk, or maybe have few bites of sticky rice roll conglomerated with crunchy donuts bits, savory pork-sung and pickled cabbage...Oh, what about beef sandwich or egg pancake topped with garlicky soy...Wow! so many choices so delicious!
A sweet smell greets your nose once you are stepping into this little breakfast shop for so many choices of delicious food items: Chinese donuts, steamy hot soy bean milk (choices of sweet or salty) or brown rice milk, Tofu jelly, sesame beef sandwich, black or white salty rice roll (aka: Fun-Tuan), Daikon Radish pan cake in omelet style... oh, what about my favorite "Gi-Giyuen" (fried fish paste roll with water chestnut wrapped in bean curd sheets), "Ba-Wan" (Taiwanese meat ball bun with bamboo shoots, shallots and ground pork), oyster omelet, and "Jong"- a pyramid shaped dumpling made of sweet rice with tasty Shitake mushroom, pork, yolk wrapped in bamboo leaves ...OMG! I'm drooling...
