  • 3 days ago · 11:30 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Volunteers can serve on the food service line, greet Veterans and their family member or serve meals to the Disabled Vets.

This event started 23 years ago during the holiday season, when a group of men wanted to make a difference in the lives of Veterans at the WLA Veterans facility.

The Veterans' Holiday Celebration  has since grown to serving over 3,500 vets and Active Duty Service Members and their families this past year.

Mr. Steven, many thanks for standing position at the front of the food service line. I can't tell you what a great help that was. As always you bring your A-Game to inspire and motive our team of volunteers. Wishing you much success with your meetups next weekend at the Food Bank and Hygiene Kit making party.

A deep heartfelt thanks goes out to our dedicated and committed volunteers. We had volunteers in the Kids Area, on the Spirit Team and Dining Hall. I was told this was the smoothest food service in recent memory. You guys ROCKED! The success of these events is dependent on you. You made over 3,000 Veterans and their family members very happy today.

Empty some closet space for the holidays. Donate new and gently used clothing that will end up in the hands of people who need them. All donated items will donated to Organizations in December. If you have a donation I will collect them at the event.

    See map here https://goo.gl/maps/csR53Ex9VAv

    Parking:
As you enter the VA Campus signs will be posted to volunteer parking or you will be directed by traffic control. There aren’t places to store them on site. Bring what you need.

You can reach me by text on the day of the event at this number (818) 493-1256. Please include your name in the text, so I can identify you.
