Man Booker Prize Reading - South Bank Centre

The regular annual event to listen to the shortlisted authors for the Man Booker Prize and a sweepstake on who is going to win. Entry fee is £5 and everyone who predicts the winner gets a copy of the winning book.

So get on read a few of these books, come and listen to the authors talk about the book and see how good you are in predicting the winner.

Hear the work that could win one of the most prestigious literary awards in the world, in an evening chaired by renowned journalist and author Mark Lawson.

Below are the authors short-listed for the prize:
We Need New Names - NoViolet Bulawayo
The Luminaries - Eleanor Catton
Harvest - Jim Crace
The Lowland - Jhumpa Lahiri
A Tale for the Time Being - Ruth Ozeki
The Testament of Mary - Colm Tóibín

 

The event is in the South Bank Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hall. Meeting time is 6:00 pm, at cafe veragano to grab a drink before the event. The talks start at 7:30 pm.
