Is Hanif Kureishi's forthcoming book based on Sir Vidia's relationship with Patrick French?

An article caught my attention in yesterday's Evening Standard. Hanif Kureishi's soon-to-be-released book, Last Words, "centres around a successful Indian novelist and essayist in his seventies, and a younger Englishman who arrives at his country house to write his biography, a story that makes it hard not to think of Sir VS Naipaul and Patrick French."..."“Their discussions about women, their relationships with women and their arguments with and about women throughout the book"

Sounds pretty interesting already!biggrin

Read the article hear: Hanif Kureishi has a new novel - but there's something familiar about the plot

Or listen to Hanif Kureishi talking about it here: Hanif Kureishi on his new book
