We will be scheduling monthly meetings with a dual purpose and we hope members can find time to attend and participate.
First, come and share prints/photographs. Bring prints of any size that you would like to share, if you want critique on the photos simply ask. If you want to share for the sake of sharing because you love a photo, bring it! If you have a special edit you did, and want to share bring a before/after of the photo. Just share, you have an eager audience who wants to see what you've done!
Open discussion - bring a subject that's on your mind that you would like to discuss with other members: Possible topics of discussion: How to shoot a wedding, what to expect when shooting a wedding, marketing, the importance of networking, lighting, camera gear, etc. We don't know all the answers, but I can pretty much assure you someone in the group will have an answer!
Also, don't worry about arriving late of having to leave early. This is an open meeting and you are always welcome no matter what time you make it. Most of the time we've had people there talking until 9 something ... or when the employees are kicking us out! You also don't have to stay the entire time.
Back by popular request, we will be having Steve Vento return as a guest to our meeting this month. Steve was a former president of Professional Photographers of Washington he has judged many photo competitions, plus he has many photos that won competitions. He is a wonderful source of information and professional critique.
Please bring a photo (the larger the better - 11x14 is desirable) for critique and trust me you WILL learn how to improve your portraits if you come and listen to his words of wisdom.
