What we're about

Science is even better with beer! Scientists, educators, writers, artists & more reveal how they explore the universe at a bar near you. Each FREE event features accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to galaxies to the beginning of the Universe. Presenters are from local research and educational institutions, including SwRI, UTSA, Trinity, and more, with occasional visitors dropping into town. Most events have games and prizes to test and reward your new-found knowledge. There is always lots of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who inevitably tag along for the beer. For more events around the globe see https://astronomyontap.org/ , and follow us on Facebook and Twitter @AoT_SATX. Lead organizers of AoT SATX: Dr. Tracy Becker and Dr. Vincent Hue.
