It was a great presentation. I enjoyed meeting with the members of the group. I will also email Dr. Martin for the slides.

My first meeting. Dr. Dennis Martin's presentation was excellent although it was too fast paced for me as I would have preferred taking at least 2 hours to go through the material, I'm emailing him for the slide presentation.

    Hello, Jason.
This Sunday, Dr. Dennis Martin will talk on "The Non-Atheistic Tenets of Freethought." Dr. Martin is a college professor and philosopher. On his talk, he says, "I think some of us - and probably others as well - assume that freethought is just a polite code word for 'atheism.' There is plenty of overlap, but the two ideas are not identical and the differences matter. Atheism is simply a likely consequence of more fundamental ideas embraced by freethinkers and secular humanists alike. In this program, we will discuss some of those fundamental ideas, how they arose in history, and how you can show their importance to your non-freethinking friends."
The meeting starts at 1:00PM, but come earlier and enjoy snacks with other freethinkers.
    See you there!
    - Steve

May I ask what is the program this month? I tried to find it on the AFS website, but couldn't. This makes all the difference for me since it's a long drive. Thanks! Forgive me if this comment causes every member to receive an email...
