Essentially he was saying all moses had to do was sit down and shut up and everything would have been OK.. ?I say not.. ? Because moses had pride in who he was, their GOD killed children (passover) to teach Moses a lesson (hows that for morality).. ?The same question still haunts us today (although with reduced consequences).. ?Should we shut up when we are asked to swear to god? ? Pretend we are also good xians? ? My answer is if my job depends on it, I will pretend (personal choice depending on ones financial situation).. ?

I'm watching The Ten Commandments. I'm sitting here bout
curse out the lead character Moses. Then I realize this is one of those prime
time emotional/rational situations that? I believe set apart the
reiligious from the non. Here it is. I'm assuming people know something about
the story of the Ten Commandments(Cecil B. DeMille s grandiose epic about the
life of Moses (Charlton Heston) boasts an all-star cast and Oscar-winning
special effects. Unforgettable, ?). All moses had to do to free his people
was keep is mouth shut when asked by the pharo "was he a Hebrew",
but he didnt. This emotional outburst not only cost him the thrown it also
cost him many years of pain and suffering before he was finally able to free
the Hebrew slaves. On top of that the people he wanted to save suffered many
more years than they would have if he shut his mouth. Would you say this is
an example of emotional reasoning that sets apart more rational thinking?
