I apologize for this lengthy note, but I wanted to share this.
Many of you know me (Robert Tracy) through being an organizer since 2007 on many Meetup.com groups, as a volunteer to many nonprofits in Atlanta and business owner. Then there is one of my other partners (Cynthia Collins) through Get Connected, FILMAtlanta, and her work in the indie film community. To give you a little background on this event, it all came about after the event planner (Gigi Franklin), (Cynthia Collins and I (uh mmm.. yes, we've over 30 and proud of it lol!) decided that we needed an event in town that not only catered to our demographic, but helped other businesses. And voila ... ATL Best Of... has been born ...
Please support us in our efforts to bring an exciting after work experience for the mature 30 and up audience and small businesses by spreading the word to your friends, family, and colleagues. We are donating a portion all of our proceeds to charities each month. This month's charities are "Aniz, Inc."www.aniz.org (in honor of July being HIV awareness month) and "I Will Survive, Inc."www.iwillsurviveinc.org (supporting cancer patients needing financial assistance.) I repeat, this event will be an "experience" with tons of live interaction, from dance instructions and live performances, to cooking demonstrations, mixologists, relationship experts and speed dating. We're also bringing out varieties of food vendors and products and services for your pleasure.
We do have volunteer and Affiliate openings for anyone interested. As an affiliate, you get paid 40% commission on every ticket you sell. Major marketing has signed on starting in August, who will promote radio ads, so we are expecting an influx of people outside of or regular circles beginning in August. This month, I really am asking everyone to support me by coming out!
Please check out the website below and help me spread the word. I'm really looking forward to hanging out and having a great time with each of you! www.atlbestof.com
P.S. If you're under 30, but you have an "old soul" lol ... you're straight lol!
