Stravinsky's Rite of Spring on Film - 2 Versions! Free!

Planning these events is a double-edged sword.  The more events that are planned the more emails you may receive.

“Make these emails STOP!” you say.

Actually, you can control the email you receive from this group.

Go into “my profile” and then to “emails and notifications.”  From here you can control what you receive and when you receive it.

In this way, you’ll still attend lots of events and not be bothered with annoying emails!  (<:

"Know Your Rites"

The Rite of Spring, a model of formal radicalism, choreographed by Vaslav Nijinsky with music by Igor Stravinsky, has inspired many dance artists.  Experience a screening of the original choreography and Pina Bausch’s version.

In 1975 Pina Bausch, who had taken over the Wuppertal ballet company, caused a stir in the ballet world with her stark depiction, played out on an earth-covered stage, in which the Chosen One is sacrificed to gratify the misogyny of the surrounding men. At the end, according to The Guardian's Luke Jennings, "the cast is sweat-streaked, filthy and audibly panting."
