This was another excellent concert by the Vega String Quartet. My favorite was the Prokofiev, but I also liked the elegy movement of the Richard Prior work. It was also good to meet some new members of the group.

Caught only the first half, but a lush and enigmatic sound, especially on the world premier!

I tried to change my RSVP to not going yesterday but something was wrong with Meetup and it wouldn't connect. Sorry for not being able to notify you. I hope everyone had fun.

I won't be able to make the performance tonight due to last minute events. Have fun, everyone.

I'm new to classical music. That is, since I retired as a University professor of philosophy I've developed (developing ) an interest in the classics.

Personally, I prefer just getting lost in the music and enjoying it. Letting it wash over me.

You can get a wonderful range of concerts on You Tube to check out various pieces by some famous and not so famous orchestras and singers, though of course live is best. Georgia State University School of Music offers a nice list of free spring concerts at their Kopleff Hall and the very nice Rialto Center downtown.

Getting lost in the music seems like a good plan.

Thanks. I contacted William Ransom and he put me in contact with a couple of people. I read and listen to everything I can get my hands on. I'll be at the Vega concert this Saturday about 7:30 .
