Hello Peeps!

As per standard, we have another great meeting lined up for you this month.

John Mercer will present

The Ugly History of Early JavaScript

JavaScript is now the linga franca of the web. However, the first web browsers contained no provision for client-side programming until the appearance of JavaScript in Netscape Navigator 2 and JScript in Internet Explorer 3. How did JavaScript come into being? How did it survive the browser wars? What peculiar properties did have early on which planted the seeds of its eventual triumph? This talk will explore these questions and more.

John Mercer is a software engineer at Radify, Inc.

After John's presentation, Joseph DeCarlo will moderate

Open Spaces

Open Spaces is a discussion format that allows attendees to vote on and participate in conversations on topics chosen by the audience. It is a great way for you to talk about or just learn about a topic that you chose. It also allows other audience members to share their expertise.

After the meeting, we will meet at Industry Tavern for drinks and food. It is walking distance from the meeting at 3280 Peachtree Road.

There is a parking deck located in the basement of Atlanta Tech Village. Parking charges are reduced to $1.00 per hour in their deck, if you arrive after 5pm. There is also alternate parking available near the venue.

I can't wait to see you all there!
