See a play-Georgia Ensemble in Roswell- and perhaps have an early dinner

  • This location is shown only to members

  • If we are going to have dinner first, I can edit this posting as we get closer to the date.

Georgia Ensemble presents "Having Our Say, The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years"

At the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forest Street, Roswell, GA.  February 16, 2017.

I have 5 tickets and the first 5 people who pay on Paypal for these tickets will attend with us.  Of course, any others can purchase tickets through the website.  These tickets are center, Orchestra.

Show description from website:  103 year old Sadie and 101 year old Bessie Delaney are preparing dinner in remembrance of their father's birthday.  While they cook, they recount a fascinating series of events and anecdotes drawn from their rick family history and their careers as pioneering African American professional women.  As descendants of slaves, they have seen their fair share of turbulent times, and yet they forge into the present, with a little daily yoga to help along the way.  Having Our Say is our history.  It celebrates women and men, African Americans, our country, and the indomitable human spirit

Tickets are $32 each. This covers the ticket price, the online fee, the processing fee and tax.  Parking is free.

    My Paypal is [masked]

It's too difficult traffic-wise to get to at that time of day. Leaving my house (near Emory) at 5-ish would be a long slog... fran

It's too far for me at that time of day. Sounds great, though.
