Re: [Atlanta-User-Experience-Group] A Bittersweet Goodbye

Thanks Vince. We all wish you much success out west and with your growing family!

There are many great design groups in Atlanta that cater to all types of designers and I urge all to try them all out to find the ones that suit you.

For those not familiar with IxDA Atlanta it's the local chapter of the Interaction Design Association, an organization with about 50,000 designers worldwide and chapters in over 100 cities. We welcome all new & old to interaction design (UX, IA, etc.) and are committed to growing designers and the profession. Our April event with Carla Diana at Georgia Tech was just posted a few minutes ago. Sign up now: IxDAatlanta.org

Regards,
Terry

Hello Everyone,

First I want to say thank you to everyone who has been apart of this group and actively learning and helping us all become better UX professionals. Unfortunately though, I'm shutting down this group. I had some great plans for 2013, and for those who know me knew how excited I was to continue; however, in a few weeks i'll soon be relocating to San Francisco, California.

It wasn't an easy discussion, and the discussions started in February which was why I didn't call for a meet, but my family and I have accepted the offer.

I was hoping to throw a lavish closing party, but the timing just wasn't right. In addition to this move, my little girl was born last week on the 24th ( http://instagram.com/p/XYZAZtwGCr/ )   so it would be difficult to get something on the calendar.

2 Great UX groups

Although this group is shutting down, there are two other awesome UX groups here in atlanta you all should make sure to check out if you haven't already:

I do apologize for this anticlimactic ending, and do wish you all the best going forward!

Thanks again for everything,

Vince
