This month we have two great presentations for you. First, Chris Morrow will present on Debugging JavaScript, and then Chris Halaschek will present on the JavaScript framework.

Talk 1: Debugging Javascript: 0 to Heisenberg

During our time together I will share how to debug JavaScript in the browser console and JavaScript best practices for easier debugging. I will be using Chrome Dev Tools, though all techniques can be applied to other browser. Topics included will be: breakpoints, coded breakpoints, watches, console.log(), assertions, call stacks, Watches, XHR requests, console programming, custom debug tools, pre-debugging tools, and unit testing.

Chris Morrow is a Senior UI Developer at Soltech, Inc. He's worked in the web development field for over 16 years and have used a number of web technologies including Flash, Flex, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, and HTML5. Throughout my career he has maintained focus on the UI and the user experience.

Chris Halaschek ( is a full-stack engineer and entrepreneur who has been building real-time, web-based systems for the past 10+ years. Currently, he is the CTO of Voxa (, an email intelligence platform for sales teams. Prior to Voxa, Chris was the CTO of San Francisco based game developer, HashGo and CTO at financial services firm, Clados Management. Chris holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. He additionally earned his M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Georgia.
