Lots of members have wanted to hear stories about people implementing the concepts we've been talking so much about, so I'm excited that Stefano and Jenner at Careerbuilder have volunteered to tell us their story.
Ever wonder how to effectively deploy and standardize your infrastructure with minimal copying and paste? What about capturing events on your network that happen at inconvenient times of the day and you need to identify the root cause then prove why it's "not the network" at fault? Are you tired of developers or members of your engineering staff requesting you to do monotonous tasks that you wish you could empower them but are afraid of giving them too much access? Join us for a night at Careerbuilder where we tackled some of these challenges recently with a little curiosity and very little time as we share some of our recent projects in the world of python and ruby.
Stefano Pirrello (Careerbuilder) has been on the Network Engineering team for past 8 years previously with Nemours, Siemens and various small companies no longer in existence. Originally destined to do Software Engineering in college but decided routers and switches were way cooler, andbecame enthused with automation since the recent SDN craze. Brushed off old programming books and started learning Python and Ruby. Enjoys researching new technologies, such as SDN, Docker, automation and challenging the status quo
Jenner Brumant (Careerbuilder) has been on the Network Engineering team for the past 1.5 years, and previously was at Gwinnett County as a network engineer. He was forced into the automation world because of his jerk boss at Careerbuilder., but has actually starting to enjoy scripting with Python. Enjoys hacking, driving fast, riding fast and shooting moving objects in the office with his nerf gun, enjoys having vodka and cranberry in his spare time
