SDN isn't just in the datacenter - the WAN has a huge set of problems that are set to be solved with new approaches and protocols. In this session we'll get deeper on what those challenges are and some example solutions.
We will cover some of the topics going on with Software Defined WAN in the Open Networking User Group (ONUG) as well as Cisco's implementation as an example with iWAN and APIC-EM. Programmability and new protocols are coming, as well as ways to more intelligently use the valuable WAN bandwidth with technologies like calendaring, metering, QoS, and route selection.
