Labathon + Code Jam
This labathon is an opportunity to come and play with the technology you've been meaning to learn. Come and do a lab on Linux, OpenStack, Docker, Python, ACI, and other technologies at your own pace over a few beers. If you're more of the coding variety, team up with others and start collaborating on a project. We'll provide the power, people, labs, and environments.
Come one, come all. We'll put the experts together for more advanced topics and to help out, and have the newer folk work on the simpler labs.
The labs will largely be self-paced open source labs. Drink beer, eat food, and do the labs we've all been meaning to with folks around to help you out if you get stuck. This is a partial list of what we can/will work on:
• Python Fundamentals
• Puppet Introduction
• NX-API, N9k and puppet integration
• UCS Director
• Open Discussion / Coding
The Code Jam
This isn't a 'hackathon' because it's not a competition and being able to code isn't a requirement for coming to the event. If you are ready to code and work on a project, we'll connect folks with similar goals and also have some use cases to think about and places to put the code.
We're having it a bar this time, so no shortage of food or beverages. Register to see the location so we can manage attendance. Also we're hoping the time and location help people against traffic.
What to Bring
Bring a laptop and use cases, if you plan on installing virtual machines you may want an external hard drive if you're low on disk space.
