Animal Madness
How Anxious Dogs, Compulsive Parrots, and Elephants in Recovery Help Us Understand Ourselves
by Laurel Braitman

Following squarely in the tradition of Darwin’s The Expression of Emotions in Man and Animals, with Animal Madness, Laurel Braitman opens the window on emotional distress to understand better how our emotional suffering is similar to that of other animals who are dealing with mistreatment and loss. A three-year journey, launched by her struggles with her dog Oliver, takes Braitman around the world to learn not only about how animals become emotionally disturbed but also about how they can be helped to recover.

Laurel will be introduced by David Fournier representing Georgia Animal Rights and Protection (GARP).
