Exciting things continue to happen both at AMUG and with Apple Inc. The Apple media event last week was amazing. I love Apple's culture of innovation, creativity, and design. I can hardly wait to buy my new EarPods, download iOS 6, and well, eventually get the new iPhone. It's toys for grownups!

On the AMUG front, great things are happening as well. Applause goes to director Charlotte Ford, who gave our forums a much-needed cleanup and reorganization. One problem we are having is that we use three social media tools to communicate -- Twitter, Meetup, and Facebook -- yet no one service contains all our members. The beauty of the AMUG forum is that it is the central hub where we can all go to post tech support questions and get answers from our fellow members. This resources is one of our valuable benefits as an AMUG member.

To access the forums, go to, click on "Community" and then "AMUG Forums." If you are having trouble logging on, feel free to contact our Telecom Director, Christina Wellman.

Ever since my days with the Macintosh SE I've always found Apple's interface more intuitive, elegant, and simply more fun than the stoic and less friendly Windows. Every day working on my Mac is a joy, and I have often said that my job and volunteer work are just excuses to play on a Mac. My Apple computer has brought much happiness in my life, and this joy has been multiplied many times by the most awesome people I've met at AMUG.

Happy computing to all!
