These rides are not for beginners but for confident riders who have some mountain bike experience. No drop policy and will wait at junctions to re group.

Arrive by 5:15pm - hit the trails at 5.30pm - ride for approx 2 hours - no set tracks decided on, will make a selection on the night.

Location: Riverhead Forest - Browns Road car park on Old North Road

Directions: When coming from Auckland City via the North Western Motorway - turn right on to Old North Road from state hwy 16, and drive exactly 4kms north along Old North Road until you see the Water Reservoir Tank on your left (found at 403 Old North Road).

Directly opposite the water tank is a brown gate which is the the Browns Road entrance to Riverhead Forest. There is a small car park at the entrance to Browns Road which is where we will meet (note there may not be a road sign for browns road since it is a forestry road - so best to use the water tank as your identifying landmark).

If you reach Pinetone Road (on your left) and see either the Waitemata Clay Target Gun Club or the Paintball venues you have gone too far and should turn back.

Click the map link in the event heading to use google to get your general directions etc. or use 403 Old North Rd (https://goo.gl/maps/vApEEpryNsv) as a general reference destination address.

If anyone wants to carpool I suggest you mention it in the comments and see who can help out

Hope to see you out there.

IMPORTANT: If there has been sustain rain in the 2-3 days leading up to a riding date then I may decide to cancel a specific ride due to the trail composition being clay based. When water logged the trails become to greasy to ride - ensure you check the comments section in the days leading up to the event to see if the ride is going ahead.
