RE: [Austin-Chronic-Pain-Meetup-Group] New Meetup: Austin Chronic Pain July 2010 Meetup

-Xavier,

As you can tell by the responses from others, this is a very supportive group.  We are all living with chronic pain and understand at least, in part, what you are going through.

I encourage you to come to our next meetup and reap the benefits of others who are trying to make the best of their current conditions.

We hope to see you in July or at a future meetup!

my best,

I keep reading these e-mails from you.  I want to attend but it feels like I'm giving up.  I have 5 rods in my spine and bilateral hip replacements.  I live in pain every day!  I choose NOT to take the pills they give me.  Sometimes, I am so tempted to take them because I hurt so much. It's silent now because folks at work either overreact or tell my boss that I'm 'ON something' (because people suck) when in reality, I have just not slept because of the pain.  Seriously,,,,meetings have been called to discuss my stability.  It's a horrible existence.  I'm single and live alone and depression has become a partner to my life.  I cannot talk to my family or friends (which are few) because they worry so much.  It's a catch 22 (as they say).  I'm alone in this.

Xavier
