So Columbus Day at Six Flags is one of the best kept secrets out there. It's cooling off outside, and due to the fact that not everybody has it off the crowds are non-existent. It's not a great day for little kids since a lot of the stunt shows have closed for the winter and you can't get your picture taken with Batman and Bugs Bunny, but there is probably no better day to be an unaccompanied grownup.
Last year a few of us went just as friends, and we paid $14.92 to get in (a price they haven't announced as continuing this year) and rode literally every coaster in the park twice in six hours. This seemed too good a deal to keep to ourselves. The plan is to pick a spot from which to carpool to San Antonio, spend the day at the park (hours are 10:30-6:30) and possibly stop as a group for a snack on the way home. Once we're there, we can split up as the mood strikes us.
