Nathan Bailey is Director of Engineering at Venkel Ltd. and has been employed there for over 28 years.
He specializes in Surface Mount Multilayer monolithic ceramic capacitors and has authored a technical white paper on the “Testing and Measurement Practices of High Capacitance Ceramic Capacitors” along with numerous other comparison guides for MLCCs vs. Polymer Tantalums & Solid Tantalums, Film caps vs. MLCC’s as well reliability assessments of various components. He oversees all Failure Analysis at Venkel and is knowledgeable with failure modes and signatures contained in failed MLCC’s as well as other devices such as thick and thin film SMT resistors. He oversees the entire Venkel catalog and maintains all the series data sheets for the company and is well versed in InDesign. He also has experience in passive component design, testing, material processing and business development for the SMT passive electronic industry.
Nathan is an adjunct Professor of Mathematics at Austin Community College for over 27 years and serves on the Board of Directors as President of Lundells Inc. in South Texas which is a large working cattle ranch. He is also is knowledgeable on topic such as R.O.I. and technical aspects for solar farm development and wind energy projects and is currently in the process of negotiating contracts with wind energy companies.
Hobbies include golfing, hiking, river rafting, and ranching.
