Getting Lean Workshop

From: Ash M.

Thanks to everyone that helped organize and attended the Startup Lessons Learned Simulcast. It was definitely a well choreographed and content packed event. Hope you all found it useful. For those that missed it, you can find slides and video on the event at SlideShare and Justin.tv.

I want to announce a new initiative (experiment) that I've been considering for some time now.

Here's the basic pitch:

PROBLEM
======
Lots of people want to put Lean Startup/Customer Development techniques to practice but don't know where to start - a monthly Lean Startup meeting is not enough. I'd like to organize a more regular Getting Lean Workshop for the purpose of learning and practicing Lean Startup/Customer Development techniques in a group setting with a lot more hands-on focus.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN?
=================
- What is Getting Lean?
- How do I find a problem worth solving?
- How do I articulate a value proposition?
- How do I find early customers?
- How do I test pricing?
- What do I build first?
- How do I build a validated learning loop?
- How do I measure what's working?
- What do I optimize first?

WHO IS IT FOR?
===========
If you are building a new web app, or already have one, and are ready to start applying Lean Startup/Customer Development techniques, this workshop is for you.

Since this is the first workshop, I am being quite selective and will carefully screen for group and readiness fit. I am ideally looking for ~10 people that are local (in Austin). If you are interested, reply back.

WHAT ABOUT THE MONTHLY MEETUP
=========================
The regular monthly meetups still hold and will be a place for more general discussion and knowledge sharing. If you are interested in presenting a case-study, or suggest a topic for discussion, please drop me a line too...
