Long time no see! I'm so excited to announce the next Austin Maker Ed Meetup! We will be joining the TX STEM Teacher Circle at St. Edwards University to hear about a few specific ways to bring making into the classroom. Speakers include the folks at Maker Ready! (http://makerready.com/)
The event will start with lunch (provided by the Circle) at 12:30pm followed by short, focused sessions about how local teachers are providing maker experiences for their students.
Since the Texas STEM Teacher Circle is providing lunch, please update your RSVP if your plans change. We'll need a pretty accurate headcount so we buy the right amount of food!
About the Texas STEM Teacher Circle:
The Texas STEM Teacher Circle is a collection of STEM teachers and professionals interested in working together around issues of STEM content. We are made of University Faculty, Pre-service and early career science and math teachers, STEM teacher mentors, school administrators, STEM industry and business representatives and other local stakeholders.
They hold monthly meetings at St. Edward's University and explore some aspect of STEM education. Our sessions focus on STEM content and innovative teaching strategies that promote authentic learning in the classroom.
