Welcome to The Austin Muslim Community Meetup Group. Are you a Muslim in their 20s and 30s living in Austin that would like to meet other Muslims? If so, you have found the right place! We would like to welcome everyone to the group. No matter our level of spirituality, as Muslims we all share certain mores, customs/traditions, thoughts, etc, a common core so to speak. Though we're all well integrated and part of the larger society here, sometimes we need to feel a sense of community and be around like-minded folks. We hope this group helps in that sense. This group as an open, respectful, and non-judgmental place for Muslims of all backgrounds and non-Muslims alike.

We are sure each and every one of you has some idea about what kind of activities we do as a group - fun social activities, volunteer, or just make some cool friends.
The main goals of The Austin Muslims Meetup Group are:
• Build strong Muslim community in Austin.
• Organizing events to socialize, discuss topics and make long lasting friendships.
• To encourage more Muslim involvement in the greater American society by volunteering and offering your time to assist others.
• Help Non-Muslims to increase their knowledge base by sharing our customs and celebrations. <br>
The rules are pretty simple. Be respectful, be courteous to others & participate.
