Scott's last Coffee and SEO talk for a while

Scott’s last Coffee and SEO talk for a while

Yep, I’m leaving for a while, but I’ll be back. On February 26th, my family and I are headed to Italy for 5 months. Then we’ll be back in Austin. In the meantime, the Meetup is NOT closing down. Apogee Results will keep it alive. Then when I get back, I’ll pick up where I left off. So with that said,

I’m skipping the limelight session

Occasionally, I’m going to put a member in the Limelight to spice things up a bit. This is an opportunity to get to know the member more, learn from their experiences, and ask questions about SEO. For the member in the Limelight, this is an opportunity to give back.

This limelight series will continue when I’m back in Austin

For this Meetup, I just want to go back to the roots one last time before leaving.

My Tradition continues

This group started with Coffee and SEO and still, to this day, is my favorite kind of meeting.

Coffee and SEO is a morning meeting of a handful of people. It’s super casual and totally lacks any kind of structure. It’s great for networking and discussing SEO.

Bring your projects, ideas, and online marketing problems! This is the place to address whatever issues are going on and allow everyone to give their two cents! Ask your SEO questions for us all to reply.

If you would like, post any topics you would like to discuss in the comments.

See you there! - Scott

One last presentation by Ian Lurie CEO of Portent called Attribution-fu - http://www.portent.com/blog/analytics/attribution-fu-slides-video.htm - You’re running a social media campaign. Your client wants to turn it off, because they see zero conversions. But you know social media supports other channels. How do you prove it?

Again, let me know if this helps you guys out :)

Since the majority of the conversation was centered around justifying social media to executives - I thought I'd share a couple of articles which I found that may help:
    - http://danzarrella.com/need-to-justify-social-media-use-real-numbers-about-real-money.html

Let me know if you guys found these helpful :)

I would have loved to, but I was on the wait list and was never notified that there was space. A shame.

Enjoy Italy! Levanto in the Cinque Terre is especially lovely. There are also seasonal festivals for harvests throughout the spring in different villages. I am jealous!

Looking forward to soaking in SEO goodness. Don't expect much from me besides smiles, I'm an SEO novice.

Wow, what a great opportunity, Scott.

I like the informal unstructured meetings, too. Thanks for your work.
