What we're about

Reconnect with the Divine Feminine through uplifting and joyful sacred dance practices created by Prema Dasara. Rekindle the flame of your wisdom, compassion and power by dancing praises to Tara, the embodiment of all enlightened qualities! Tara, truly multicultural, manifests in our main practice in a rainbow of 21 colors and attributes--from Swift Protection, Joy and Laughter, and Ferocious Compassion to Serene Peace, Transformer of Poison and Complete Enlightenment. In dancing Tara's 21 Qualities, we fully engage all aspects of our being--body, speech, mind, energy, emotions and spirit. We dance for our own Tara nature and for the world, to heal and balance the earth, to remove suffering, and to bless and empower all beings. As we develop confidence in our enlightened qualities by fully expressing them in the dance, we can embody the change we want to see in the world. Austin Tara Circle was founded by students of Prema Dasara, world-renowned creatrix of transformational sacred dance and lineage holder for the Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara. http://www.austintara.tk/ http://www.facebook.com/austintaracircle

Dancing in the Light--Celebrate Spring!

Wildflower Country Inn and Event Center

Celebrate Spring with a day of uplifting, empowering sacred dance! By embodying the Divine Feminine through sacred meditative dance practice in the unique lineage of Prema Dasara, we come together as a community to reconnect with and celebrate the enlightened potential in each of us. Join us for a day-long journey into the heart of feminine wisdom and compassion embodied by the Noble Buddha Goddess Tara. In these troubled times, we can step out of helplessness and a feeling of victimization and into our innate power to bless, heal and free all beings. We will learn the main dance of our lineage--The Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara. Join us to experience the blessings of Mother Tara and the joy of sacred dance in community. Om Tare! We are asking for a suggested donation on a sliding scale--$21-$51--to cover expenses and move us towards our goal of purchasing costumes and crowns for all the dancers in the near future. No one turned away for lack of funds. Our goal is to gather 28 dancers--22 for the mandala and 6 for the circle of protection that supports it. Bring your friends, help them discover something new--no experience necessary, and seasoned dancers welcome. For more experienced dancers (including those who danced with us in the mandala in Wimberley in January), as soon as you register, you will be assigned a praise to prepare--you will have time to create the dance in advance if you wish! Anjali, a senior student of Prema Dasara, will be leading the practice. She offers her experience with and devotion to this lineage and to the Divine Feminine, and draws on a lifetime in music/dance and study of Tibetan Buddhism. Re our venue, The Wildflower Country Inn is a charming bed and breakfast in the Texas Hill Country, with spacious grounds, gardens, fountains and pavilions. They also offer spa services! Get away from Austin for a energizing day in the country! PLEASE RESERVE YOUR SPOT REGISTERING ON EVENTBRITE TODAY AND BRING CASH OR CHECK TO PAY AT THE DOOR. IF YOU WANT TO PREPAY ONLINE, PLEASE SEND PAYMENT TO DUANNE: PayPal.me/DuanneRedus WHEN YOU REGISTER, YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED A PRAISE TO BEGIN WORKING WITH (IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE). POTLUCK LUNCH: Please bring a dish to share. DINNER: Let us know if you want to join us at Milagros, a local Mexican restaurant for dinner, ([masked]), and we will reserve. QUESTIONS?
