Apparently you do need to get the wristband at the front desk.

Hubby and I are Totally excited to try this out! Will see how it goes...just had a baby 4 months ago, so not at my strongest. Happy to stand on the sidelines and watch if need be.
I'll be the one with the adorable baby. ;-)

I climb fairly regularly at main event (and elsewhere). There's another group climbing in the greenbelt that I'll be joining unless it rains. If I'm there, feel free to ask me for beta.

You can get the wrist band in the back as well , so there should be no need to even go to the front desk

Ah…guess they changed that since the last time I got a wristband. Opted for the membership instead.

Is this indoors or outdoors? Sorry if that's a stupid question. Just wasn't sure if this was at a rock climbing gym or what and it is pretty wet out right now. Thanks!

It's indoors. It's at Main Event which is like a Dave and Busters on steroids

Hello group. :) I just joined today. Never done the rock climbing thing before. Was in Austin last night with another meetup group. We were at Playland skating. My parents owned Playland years ago and so I grew up on wheels.
So, was just wondering how much more is it to rent the rock climbing equipment? I saw the fee for unlimited wall access but curious about the other stuff.

I wish I had the upper body strength for this. haha

    • Brian

This is for all skill levels. It's a matter of building up the body strength to get through the full wall. My first time I ever climbed I never even got up a full route

I think I'll hold off until next time. By then I will have done enough Yoga X chaturangas to win at rock climbing ;-)
