Wearables Night! Peter Li of Atlas Wearables and the Salesforce.com Wear SDK

We'll start with an open networking session from 7:00p-7:15p. Meet and exchange ideas, knowledge, and resources with other like-minded individuals interested in advancing IoT here in Austin.

From 7:15p-8:00p, Peter Li, CEO and co-founder of Atlas Wearables, will be here to talk about the wearables industry and Atlas' upcoming fitness tracker.

Following a short break, at 8:15p, Ryan Phillips of Bluewolf will be talking about the awesome salesforce.com Wear SDK and API specifically for wearable tech, and its first use cases in Google Glass, smart watches such as Pebble, and Android Wear, and proximity and motion sensors.

Austin IoT is a sharing group. If you would like to present at one of our future meetups, please contact us here or speak to us at one of our meetups.

The full Sherlock's food and drink menu will be available during our meetup, and we will have our own server. Personalized name badges will be created for all those who RSVP for this event.

Join us for a casual and informational evening of Austin IoT in the comfortable surroundings of Sherlock's Baker Street Pub.

See you there. Bring a friend!

Realized I just posted this at the Hardware Subgroup's site but want this known for all of you, sorry for the duplication for some of you. Deadline is tomorrow!

    Christopher Piedmonte, CEO, Suvola:
    How Servers-on-a-Chip will become the
Foundation for the Internet of Things

    Friday, October 31st, from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m.
Register at TAGAustin.org by the 29th CoB

With an entire computer on a chip there are dramatic reductions in foot print, much lower energy consumption, a significant reduction of cost (both device and maintenance) and increased reliability, plus this server chip is engineered to scale. This technology is DISRUPTIVE !
… Mr. Piedmonte will give a lightening talk about another disruption he is leading – competing with the world’s fastest propeller driven biplane.
