One of our fellow ASS'es has done IT!
Ed Davis "left" us a few months back to "retire" and go sailing.  He was looking for an offshore cruising boat to single hand in the 32 to 36 foot range.  I gave him a few words of wisdom and it sounds like he actually listened.
Today I got this from Ed:
Sailing with delivery captain aboard my new....1987.....Tayana 42, aft cockpit cutter. Left Ft Pierce Saturday 6pm and we're headed for St Petersburg (thurs am). Going thru channel at Marathon in a few hours. Sailing 24/7 till we get there......give my best to all.
PS.....she's. La Buena Vida
I sent the following:
What a terrific boat and what a terrific adventure!!! That’s the same boat that Ben Edelstein took round the world and a great Bob Perry design. Send us photos when you get there. Captain Greg
