This class is like a slow surreal dance. If you think you are too stiff then all the more reason to come along - it will be a challenge. We start using techniques to activate our internal movement then embark on the journey of calligraphy yoga, a fusion of yoga and chi gung.
The Yoga Time Mixed yoga or fusion yoga class has elements of this style but in this class we examine the beginning movements then move into the more complex sequences we can't explore in a mixed yoga class. Come along for the many physical health benefits or perhaps to investigate and cultivate your internal energy.
It's fine for any level but like any mindful practice it is important to listen to your body. The aim of this class is to increase strength, flexibility and joint mobility, then learn to move in a way that will increase our internal awareness and healing energy. With practise we may eventually move into the meditative state of no mind movement.
