Next weekend Amma will offer a couple of open house (drop-in) Meetup get-to-know-you meetings in which to discuss possible future programs, retreats, and various kinds of programs for the public over tea and snacks. These are good opportunities to get to know Amma, and to let her know your needs and wishes: Saturday April 5th 4-6 pm; and Sunday April 6th Noon- 2:00. Please sign up now and mark your calendar.

Regular weekly Meetup meditations will commence in July, along with occasional special programs.

Everything that I had hoped happened- people got to know each other a little more, got to have more sense of me and what I can offer and brainstormed what they want for the summer. Thanks for coming. You made it a great event!

There are few things that I will need help with:
Welcoming people as they arrive, letting people know where to park once we have 4 cars here, and help with cleanup. Let me know when you come if you are able to help with any of these tasks.

As we are getting close to the open house I wanted to alert you to a few things:

The actual address -- 15 Columbia Road is not accessible from Columbia Road but via an unmarked alley way that intersects Columbia Road just north of Pikes Peak Ave (towards the Buffalo Lodge). I have prayer flags on the fence and Earth flag up. If you get to Buffalo lodge, you have gone too far.

Secondly, there is only room for a few cars. So if you see 4 cars already here, the best thing would be to park on Pikes Peak Ave or Lois Lane (though not in the parking lot for the nursing home). Kindly do not park in the alley way.

If you are have things you are bringing, drive up to the hermitage, off load and then go park and walk back.

My chemical sensitivities have been active recently. Out of compassion, kindly come fragrance free.

Looking forward to meeting you and curious what activities and programs you are interested in.

    See you soon,
    Amma

I thought I would attend the first day too. My daughter will come with me on Sunday. Would be open to car pooling if anyone is coming from the Denver area.

Amma your welcome, you have a large group this day and 1 person on the wait list. I will just go on Sunday and open my spot for another! :-)

Is it ok if I can only make it to this open house and not both?

While we maybe of Different belief systems I have a great deal of respect for Buddhist monks. I have always been a seeker of wisdom above anything else. I am very interested in meditating as well as learning more. I have studied Tai-Chi and Shaolin Kung Fu a little just because I respect other cultures before I got hurt with sciatic nerve energy. I like to learn all I can about the universe we live in.
