    The focus of this class is on awakening and balancing the energy centers of your body (chakras) through a varied set of poses, exercises, breath work, and intentions. Each week we will be working with and balancing a specific area of your personal energy, starting from the ground up and moving through a 7 week cycle, before starting over. In this style of practice you develop a deeper awareness of where and how your mental, emotional and physical energy gets stagnant, and the ability to clear it. You will build strength, flexibility and vitality for optimal physical and emotional health. Appropriate for beginner’s and experienced yoga practitioner. Attending 7 weeks in a row would be ideal but not necessary. Come when you can and reap the benefits.

This session will begin with a gentle yoga sequence to settle and prepare the body and the mind. We will move into a guided meditation for participants to recenter on their breath, calm their mind, tap into the profound wisdom within, or simply relax.     This class consists of easy, gentle and graceful movements that are combined with breath and focused intention which fosters healing and a deep sense of peaceful energy. It is fully guided and can be done with no prior experience. Accessible for anyone as it can be done seated or standing. Before practice there is a short reading and/or explanation around why we do Qigong and some gentle stretching.
