What we're about

• Do you remember when moving was a pleasure? Do you now find yourself sitting much of the day? Perhaps with nagging back pain?

• Are you ready to recover easy, efficient movement?

• Would you like to expand from easy to elegant movement?

• Or are you simply interested in learning more about yourself?

If you answered “Yes” to at least one of these questions, you’ll benefit from The Feldenkrais Method® of Somatic Education. (http://www.feldenkrais.com/method/the_feldenkrais_method_of_somatic_education)

When you begin to pay attention to how you're moving, your attention sparks change and leads to improvement.

Ordinarily, we learn just enough to function. For example, we learn to use our hands well enough to eat, our legs well enough to walk. Our abilities to function with a greater range of ease and skill, however, remain to be developed. The Feldenkrais Method® (http://www.feldenkrais.com/method/the_feldenkrais_method_of_somatic_education) teaches—through movement—how you can improve your capabilities to function in daily life, in your favorite sports, or as a performing artist.

"The aim is a body organized to move with minimum effort & maximum efficiency, not through muscular strength but increased consciousness of how it works."—Moshe Feldenkrais, DSc
