Have you ever wanted to go on a cruise? Or maybe you've been before and are ready for another one. Come join in on the fun as our group has our 7th group cruise. We're going to set sail on Carnival Splendor out of Miami. Don't miss out on one of the most fun cruises this year. Everyone loves our group cruises and I hope you join in on the fun this year. Enjoy beautiful weather, sandy beaches, and lots of great food while sailing onboard. Perfect Vacation with a fun group of 20s and 30s!
THIS CRUISE ALIGNS WITH ALL THE LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL SPRING BREAKS, to accommodate our teacher friends!!!
DO NOT WAIT TO BOOK THIS ONE IF YOU'RE GOING! When I booked, there was a great price for this cruise. It was only $620 per person, including all taxes & fees!!! I would also recommend checking other websites like Vacations to Go, cruisecompete.com, etc.
PREVIOUS TRAVEL AGENT: Previous cruises of ARA have booked through the website Cruisedeals.com in because they've got some great prices for several cruises. Please call Fabiola Jimenez at[masked] extension 139 if you'd like more information for them directly. Brad and Jennifer have used them before.
Most people who've never been on a cruise expect the price to be really expensive... they're much more affordable than most people realize. Carpooling Costs were around $70-$80 on our last trip to Fort Lauderdale and this one might be slightly more with the extra drive time to Miami. Miami carpooling previously was about $[masked] per person depending on how many were in the car and what hotels were utilized. You can also fly down there if you prefer. After the cruise Carnival will charge $12.95 a Day per person in Gratuities/Tips for standard rooms, and $13.95 a Day per person for those in Suites. You can post a message on here saying you're needing a roommate or just come out to our events and starting talking to other members. You have other options on this cruise you can pay extra for a oceanview room, balcony room, you can go really upscale and get a suite.

There's a lot more to do on a cruise than just enjoy the weather... Please check out https://www.carnival.com/cruise-ships/carnival-splendor.aspx
CARPOOLING: Exact price will be determined by the driver to cover their gas costs, port parking, and etc. For those wanting to be a carpool driver do NOT offer to drive until you've actually booked the cruise. I've always been really grateful to those who driven carpools but in the past we've also had too many people offer to drive a carpool then end up not going to the event. Which puts 3-4 other people in a difficult spot when their ride disappearing. Also please do NOT take up spaces in a carpool until you've booked your cruise.
Once you've booked your cruise please try to put together a carpool instead of doing it at the last min. If you carpool with others please be on time and be respectful to your driver and other passengers. If someone is nice enough to drive you there you definitely should be grateful to them for doing it.
You'll need to be at the port by 2pm on April 9th, at the VERY latest to board the ship. That's why I'd recommend leaving on Saturday April 8th, spend the night at a hotel halfway there and then drive the rest of the way on Sunday morning... OR you can drive straight to Miami starting Saturday morning & stay in Miami Saturday night.
The ship will leave on a Sunday and return on a Sunday: April 9th at 4pm until April 16th in the morning around 8am. Most the time people get off the ship then drive back home that day, all in one day.
1) You do NOT need a passport to do this cruise, you can show a birth certificate instead.
2) I highly recommend trying to meet any potential roommates before sharing a room with them for 7 days. And make sure you let your roommate know of anything that could be bothersome... just be respectful and if you have any concerns or do things a certain way just let them know. If you spend a few mins going over basic stuff with your roommate once you get on the ship it makes life so much easier.
3) I will post more info on shore excursions and specialty dining plans as the cruise gets closer. This will be our group's 7th Cruise and every single one was an amazing time for those who went. We've done everything from eating Lobster dinners to visiting Mayan Ruins to swimming with sharks to karaoke bars to hanging out at exotic beach and so much more! There are a ton of photos in our meet up events of past cruises, if you want to see examples... feel free to check out the pics of our other cruises and hopefully it'll give you a better idea of what a cruise is like. Our group members have uploaded over 600+ pictures from past cruises!
