I never feel as awkward as when I'm trying to make a friend.
This is a group for all those women between twenty(ish) and forty(ish) that are making Asheville awkward in a similar pursuit. To make it easier on us, let's meet up while doing an activity together, whether it be hiking, yoga, bowling, kayaking, fishing - heck, I'm down for all sorts of things, especially if it's exciting and new. I think it's much easier to bond when people are sharing an active experience, takes the pressure off that awkward small talk. If you're one of those talented extrovert types, you're welcome too!
Also welcome - all races, all Meyer-Briggs types, moms and non-moms and never-will-be moms, locals, transplants, LGBTQ, pansexuals, asexuals, polysexuals, atheists, religious, skeptics, sober, drinkers, smokers, non-smokers, dog people, cat people, no-pet people, vegans, carnivores, paleos, foodies, skeptics, crossfitters, cross-dressers, runners, readers, hikers, yogis, etc.
Not welcome - men. We may structure some activities to include a significant other, a friend, or children (I am married with two elementary-aged kids) but this is about creating a female community of respect, support, safety, relaxation, and adventure.
All events are open to all members unless otherwise specified. Jump on in!
