October Ayurveda Sangha with Special Guest Swami Bodhananda

Please join our community of students and teachers for the last community sangha of 2012 -- an exciting and fun afternoon learning lifestyle and food tips for better health, and special guest Swami Bodhananda.

From Nov. 1 to Nov. 14 we enter the transition period when Sharad Ritu (Fall) is slowly making way for Hemanta Ritu (early Winter). Typically, the seasonal transitions between two seasons that last 14 days (Ritu Sandhi) are marked by lowered immunity and greater health challenges. Anchor faculty teacher, Vaidya Dr.Abhijit Jinde, will highlight prevention from common seasonal disorders and appropriate foods during the transition from fall to winter.

Additionally, please join our special guest Swami Bodhananda Saraswati. Swamiji is a faculty member at Vedika Global and is a well-known and respected spiritual teacher and author of Vedanta. He will be discussing Adwaita Vedanta wisdom and spiritual principles that can improve our peace and harmony in day-to-day living.

Vedika's Ayurveda Chef and cooking teacher Sanjai Mathur will demonstrate simple winter recipes that will be included in the vegetarian potluck that follows.

Vedika’s Founder and Acharya Shunya Pratichi Mathur will personally anchor the Sangha and reflect upon Dharma teachings of Ayurveda, as applicable to modern society for stress management and better health and well-being.

Meet, connect, and support fellow beings who are improving their personal health and well-being by embracing the life transforming knowledge of Ayurveda which leads us to the path of health protection, disease prevention, and joy.

Come learn about Ayurveda’s uplifting science and spirituality, transformative lifestyle and healing foods and flavors.

The Sangha is both practical and sublime, incorporating practical health promoting and disease preventing measures from Ayurveda along with applied knowledge from the allied traditions of Yoga and Vedanta to help transform the body, mind and soul.

You will leave empowered with health-promoting knowledge and personal insights you can readily apply, and easy seasonal recipes using Ayurveda's super foods and digestive spices.
