What if a developer or data scientist could use a service that identifies the best machine learning pipelines for their labelled data? Automated Machine Learning (abbreviated as automated ML) is a new capability in the Azure Machine Learning service that does exactly that. Automated ML empowers customers, with or without data science expertise, to identify an end-to-end machine learning pipeline for any problem, achieving higher accuracy while spending far less of their time. Customers can then deploy this model (pipeline) as a managed web service in Azure cloud or Edge device.

Your speakers tonight are Parashar Shah and Sujatha Sagiraju.
Sujatha is a Group Program Manager in the Azure Cloud & AI group. Her expertise is in building large scale distributed systems. Her latest mission is accelerating and democratizing Artificial Intelligence via Automated Machine Learning. She has been at Microsoft since 2001 and worked on several products as a developer and program manager. Other interests – Sujatha is a diversity & inclusion champion at the Azure AI platform org and is passionate about recruiting, mentoring and growing diverse talent.
Parashar is a Senior Program/Product Manager in the Azure Machine Learning platform team at Microsoft. Currently, he works on making Azure Machine Learning services as best place for building custom AI solutions using big data. Previously at Microsoft, he has been a Data Scientist and a Data Solutions Architect in Cloud and AI teams. His first book, Hands-On Machine Learning with Azure: Build powerful models with cognitive machine learning and artificial intelligence, was published in Nov 2018.
This will be an interactive, demo-heavy session and if you'd like to participate in the hands on workshop towards the second half, you will need to bring a laptop to use. We'll bring the Wifi and some Azure to use (or use your own).
Free Pizza and Soft Drinks will be served at ~5:30pm on the 10th floor - we will kick off the discussion there ~6pm after everyone has had a chance to eat, meet anyone else you'd like to and have a chat :-). Feel free to start arriving from 5pm on if you are nearby. PLEASE RSVP so we have an accurate food count.
PARKING: For free parking please park across the street on the third and fourth floors of the parking garage at 12711 Queensbury; parking in the Microsoft building is not free and no we can't validate you if you do park there (sorry).
