Greed, competition and customer needs -- A case study about remote access: a talk and discussion led by Adam Frost.
Adam says: Many years ago, our company started using Logmein as our primary way of accessing our customer machines remotely. This year, Logmein decided to almost double their prices for the remote access that we use with no good reason that we could see. We did not think this was fair to their customers, we thought it a greedy act, and consequently sought out other alternatives.
I’ll be talking about the technical and emotional and business issues that a major switch like this brings on, and share the ups and downs of the process. I’ll encourage participants to share their own stories.

PLEASE RSVP if you're coming so others will know that they won't be alone!

Schedule: Q&A and general discussion 6:30pm; meeting starts at 7pm and must end by 8:45pm per MassBay requirements.

We'll meet at Mass Bay Community College in Wellesley Hills, in room W301 (Different room! Follow the signs to W301). As usual, admission is FREE and open to all. Munchies and networking starts at 6:30pm, the meeting starts at 7pm, and ends by approximately 8:45pm.
Plenty of parking available in the Student lot.

GETTING THERE without a car

Need a ride? Adam Frost is providing a mini-bus service to and from the meeting from Forest Hills; call him at[masked] to arrange.

We are continuing our tradition of each of us bringing some potluck food to share. We will provide the plates, glasses, and utensils. Please aim for bringing healthy food, as many of us are struggling to eat healthier stuff (but don't make it so healthy that it doesn't taste good!). Thank you.
And of course we always accept donations to help keep the group running; thanks.
