Static Code Analysis: Preventing Bugs and Lag Before They Happen

  • February 2 · 6:30 PM

We’re back!  For our February 2nd meetup, Vinny DaSilva will be talking about the work he’s been doing in static code analysis for Unity, and how you can use it to automatically find bugs in your scripts!  Our host Akamai will once again be sponsoring pizza, beverages and the venue so please RSVP to ensure there’s enough food!  Also, please be aware: going forward, Akamai will no longer let you into the building if you arrive after 7:30.

In this talk Vinny will cover how to use Static Code Analysis tools to improve code quality throughout the development process. He will also cover how to customize Static Code Analysis to fit team's specific needs and workflows.  This talk is designed to be useful to anyone and everyone who writes or modifies scripts in Unity.

Vinny is a VR Developer and Software Engineer with Mountain and Sea Studios, a small indie shop focusing on VR/AR games and apps. Previously, Vinny worked for Ohsome Interactive, where he helped launch numerous experiences in mobile, desktop and virtual reality. In a previous life, Vinny spent eleven years in the Life Sciences industry where he helped develop and release enterprise applications.

Please RSVP so we can ensure enough food and drinks for everyone!

Please note: By attending or participating in BUG events, you agree to our safe-space policy.
