Join us in France for an amazing Alpine adventure! :D
The Parc National de la Vanoise is a spectacular region of glaciers, soaring summits, raging rivers and high alpine meadows. This is France's oldest national park, protecting hundreds of kilometres of magnificent mountains, valleys, snowfield, glistening tarns and waterfalls. There are more than 100 summits in excess of 3000m!
This fabulous region is a playground for hikers and this is a perfect time to go when the weather is generally settled and the winter snows are still many weeks away. We are spoiled for choice here as the Alps can offer epic challenges or quiet exhilaration. No words can really do these mountains justice!
We will enjoy an unforgettable hiking holiday in a truly fabulous national park created to protect the ibex and other mountain wildlife. It has all the flavour of Alpine hiking at its very best and those who make the effort to push on over a number of tough climbs will be amply rewarded with mountain scenery to rival any in Europe. This is also a wonderful part of France for delicious Alpine cuisine.
Our delightful, family run hotel is situated right in the pretty Alpine village of Pralognan, surrounded by the mountains. This is also a wonderful part of France for delicious Alpine cuisine.
There is also just so much superb hiking options and the networks of trails are endless. We could keep busy exploring for many, many weeks if only we had the time!
This trip does not involve technical mountaineering but the hikes will be challenging so you need to have a reasonable level of hiking fitness.
