Blacketts Fitness Hike

This will be an ongoing hike almost every Tuesday and Thursday at about this time. This is my training hike.

If you want to get faster, stronger and improve your fitness level, this is the one for you.

We can start together, people can go at their own pace, try to keep up with the faster ones, slow down and take photographs, whatever you want. It's an out and back on a good trail.

The stats are about 6 miles and 1800' elevation gain.

Bring water & snacks if you want.

    To Rubi, James, Nola, and Mary,
    Most of you are new to this club, but if you could please update your rsvp's to not going, I and the other members would appreciate it. Even though this is an ongoing bi-weekly hike, and their are no limits to the number of people on it, it's a good practice to follow. Generally, the weekend hikes are always full and have people on a waiting list. If you are a no-show on those hikes, there may be other people that would like to have done the hike that were kept off of it. Additionally, I usually wait 10 minutes or so for those that have signed up figuring they are just running late. So please be courteous to your fellow hikers and update your status. With today's technology, I can get the status right up to the time of the hike and later in most cases. I do understand their are extenuating circumstances as well. No problems their. Once again, most of you are new to Alt-Hiking and may have come from other groups that worked differently, so I understand.

      RE: Nola. I signed my mom and I up for Dec 13, or so I thought... somehow I am signed up for Thursday and she was signed up for today. We've been attempting to do more events together while I am still living at home so I usually just let her know the time and place (I would not have signed either of us up for today provided that I had finals). Sorry for the inconvenience. We'll see you Thursday.
