    DATE/TIME: Every Tuesday at 6:00 PM WHERE: We will meet at the Bayside Cafe patio, 8191 Sierra College Blvd., Roseville, CA. WHAT: We will run/walk from Bayside Cafe 1/2 mile along Sierra College Boulevard to the Miner's Ravine Trailhead. Miner's Ravine Trail is a paved multi-use trail bordered with crushed gravel and dirt. Please have a bottle of water along with you during your run to stay hydrated. WHO: This Bayside Adventure Sport meet-up is designed for runners and walkers of all abilities, paces and distances, providing a safe and encouraging Christian fellowship setting to help promote a healthy lifestyle.   • BAS Volunteer Staff Weekly Gathering
    Acts 2:42 says, "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." This is an evening for Volunteer Staff of Bayside Adventure Sports to gather to grow personally and as a ministry team. Schedule will loosely fit this timeline. Staff are invited to come to all or part of the evening and to come as often as possible. This is also an evening to help those interested in joining the Volunteer team of BAS to meet other volunteers and get a feel for our ministry to determine if we are a good fit. This is by invite only for new people - if interested, please get in touch with Executive Director Greg Weisman at[masked]. • An informal Pot-Luck Dinner & Connection Time, 5:30-6:30pm. Come at 5:30pm and have a whole hour to relax and get to know others. Working late? Come anyways! If you can, bring a side dish, salad, dessert, (or at something edible ;) ) to share (you can note below what you are bringing) • Teaching" & Prayer- We will have a leader-led devotion or video for a time spiritual growth & Bible Study. 6:30-7:30pm. The idea is to get us into God's Word and get us talking about how we can live and serve our Lord more effectively. • BAS Planning & Staff Training, 7:30-8:15pm. Each week we will take a different topic or topics to discuss for how we can be more effective in our ministry.   • Bayside Adventure Sports Bible Study
    Are you involved in Bayside Adventure Sports (BAS) and want to connect with others who are as well? Please come Wednesday, 6:45-9:00pm. We start about 6:45pm for some good fellowship time. About 7:15pm we will pray then begin our study. We are studying the book of Romans! Then we end with some prayer time. Just bring a Bible (or we have some extras).   • BAS Midtown: Thursday Running Group (Sacramento/Land Park)
    This group is for anyone who wants to get into shape, run to maintain fitness, or train for any of several races in the Sacramento area this Fall. All levels of runners, beginners to lifelong runners, are encouraged to join this group. We will be running on Thursday evenings 6:00-7:15, from mid-September until the beginning of December. We will meet each week at Bill’s house in Land Park and start with a short devotion and prayer then head out for our run. Runners will pair up with at least one other person who wants to run the same distance and pace. (At this time we do not have a walking group but if there is enough interest we will try to form one.   • Equestrian Camping: Little Lasier Meadows/Jackson Meadows
    MUST BRING YOUR OWN HORSE!!! Not recommended for beginners. Julie Schmitz will be leading this ride at Little Lasier Meadow Horse Camp, at Jackson Meadows Reservoir, up near Truckee, CA (Donner Pass). Make your own reservations (see below for details). We'll potluck together Saturday night. There are real camp sites here, corrals, facilities and reservations are required. Beautiful area to ride, close to the Pacific Crest Trail. From Truckee drive 17 miles north on Highway 89 to Little Truckee Summit, then travel left on Forest Road 7 sixteen miles. At East Meadow Campground turn left down Forest Road 80 for 1.3 miles. Limited space (only 11 campsites) so make your reservations soon and let Julie know to expect you so she can coordinate trying to get spots together! The campground is at 6,500 feet. Campground Amenities include vault toilets, piped water, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, horse corrals, hitching posts, maintained riding trails, access to Pacific Crest Trail, and the nearby lake for swimming.   • Hike - Point Reyes
    WHERE: Point Reyes, Marin County SKY Trail - BEAR VALLEY LOOP (17 km / 10.5 mi.) Begin at the Bear Valley Trailhead, at the south end of the Bear Valley Parking Lot. A nice varied hike, through mixed Douglas fir forest, meadows and chaparral and also open grass with coastal views and beach access. Begin by climbing the Mt. Wittenberg Trail (400 m / 1300 ft. elevation in 2.9 km / 1.8 mi.) and then continue through the forest all the way out Sky Trail to Coast Trail. Then continue south on Coast Trail to Arch Rock. Enjoy your last coastal view here, before returning via Bear Valley Trail through beautiful buckeyes and mixed Douglas forest and along Coast Creek. http://www.nps.gov/pore/index.htm WHO: This hike is for those who are in good physical hiking condition. Not for beginners. WHEN: 7:30 ready to leave at 7:40 West Sac - Enterprise Park N Ride Park-N-Ride off on Hwy 80, in West Sacramento on Enterprise Drive at the Interstate 80 interchange. its on the right, can't miss it. DIRECTIONS to trailhead Leaving from West Sac Park & Ride- around two drive to Pt Reyes Follow Interstate 80 about 50 miles (80 km) west toward Vallejo. Take Exit 33B to head west on California Highway 37 toward Novato/San Rafael.Bathroom stop before we take Exit 33B. Be sure to merge into the left lane of the off-ramp, because the right lane quickly becomes an exit lane off Highway 37. From Interstate 80, follow California Highway 37 west about 19 miles (30 km). Take the Black Point/Atherton Avenue exit, which is about 1 mile (1.6 km) past the bridge over the Petaluma River. At the stop sign, turn left onto Atherton Avenue. Follow Atherton Avenue west 3.2 miles (5.1 km). As the road crosses Highway 101, it becomes San Marin Drive. Continue west for about 2.5 miles (4 km) to the junction with Novato Blvd. Turn right onto Novato Blvd. and proceed west for about 6 miles (10 km) to the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road. Turn left and follow the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road southwest toward Point Reyes Station for about 7 miles (11 km) to the junction with Platform Bridge Road. Turn right to stay on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road and continue west for about 3 miles (5 km) to the junction with California Highway 1 in the town of Point Reyes Station. Turn left onto Highway 1, drive south through Point Reyes Station and continue south on Highway 1 approximately 2.5 miles (4 km). Look for a brown "Point Reyes National Seashore" sign just beyond the Olema RV Resort & Campground. If you get to a flashing red light, you've gone 100 yards (100 m) too far. Turn right onto Bear Valley Road and head west about 1/2 mile (0.8 km). Look for a big red barn on the left and a sign for "Visitor Center; Headquarters; Information" on the right. Turn left after passing by the red barn and proceed up the left fork of the driveway to the Bear Valley Visitor Center, the park's primary contact station. Please be prepared to help out drivers with gas money (A good rule of thumb is $3.00 for each hour of drive time.) WHAT TO BRING: Layered clothing that wicks moisture, comfortable hiking boots, hiking poles, hat,sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses, at least 2 liter containers of water (hydration bladders or Nalgene-type bottles), food for lunch and snacks and a camera, $$ for gas Dogs and alcohol are not permitted on BAS events due to liability issues. CARPOOL:Due to liability issues, BAS cannot organize or provide carpooling. At the Park & Ride parking lot , please be prepared to arrange your carpooling among yourselves and to help out drivers with gas money (A good rule of thumb is $3.00 for each hour of drive time.)
