MUST BRING YOUR OWN HORSE!!! Not recommended for beginners.

Julie Schmitz will be leading this ride at Little Lasier Meadow Horse Camp, at Jackson Meadows Reservoir, up near Truckee, CA (Donner Pass).
Make your own reservations (see below for details). We'll potluck together Saturday night.

There are real camp sites here, corrals, facilities and reservations are required. Beautiful area to ride, close to the Pacific Crest Trail. (Here is a link to the website and the horse camp link can be found at the right of the web page, called "Little Lasier Meadow Horse Camp".

Located north of Truckee in a meadow near about 2 miles from Jackson Meadows Reservoir. From Truckee drive 17 miles north on Highway 89 to Little Truckee Summit, then travel left on Forest Road 7 sixteen miles. At East Meadow Campground turn left down Forest Road 80 for 1.3 miles. Limited space (only 11 campsites) so make your reservations soon and let Julie know to expect you so she can coordinate trying to get spots together! The campground is at 6,500 feet.

Campground Amenities include vault toilets, piped water, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, horse corrals, hitching posts, maintained riding trails, access to Pacific Crest Trail, and the nearby lake for swimming.

Fees: $24 per site, $5 for extra vehicle

Sorry - Dogs and Alcohol are not permitted on BAS events due to liability issues. Please note that we cannot make exceptions to this policy.

We ask non-married participants follow the Bayside Church Singles policy of not sharing tents/sleeping quarters.

Each person participate at their own risk and should have their own health insurance. BAS does not cover any injuries in any of their events.

Please note that a current Bayside Adventure Sports Membership is required for our events. This annual fee helps offset our high insurance cost and helps keep most of our events free. For individuals it's only $25/year! Families are $50/year. If you are new to BAS, a 1-month trial membership is available.
