Equipment assistance session (Part 2 of 2. Part 1 on May 6. Recommended, but not required to attend both)
This is a hands-on session to give you an opportunity to bring your backpacking equipment (including footwear, clothing, food, and anything else you might want to take). Experienced backpackers will help you adjust it, make suggestions on how to use it, discuss your equipment list, and answer any questions you have.
If you don't have your equipment by the time of the session, please come so you can see what's available. Even if you have equipment, we may have recommendations for additional or different gear.
Novice backpackers are very strongly encouraged to attend. Experienced backpackers are encouraged to attend so the rest of us can have the benefit of your experience.

This event is open to the public. BAS membership is not required to attend. Most BAS activities require a membership to participate. If you are new to BAS, a one month trial membership is available.. This annual fee helps offset our high insurance cost and helps keep most of our events free. For individuals it's only $49/year!
