The Temporal Gulch trip was such an awesome time we thought we'd string 3 of the smaller passages together and knock them out in one swoop.
Combining Santa Rita Mountains - AZT #5 (http://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=2422), Las Colinas - AZT #6 (http://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=2423), and Las Cienegas - AZT #7 (http://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=2424) into one trip gives us a distance of just under 40 miles total. Most of the elevation is handled in the first eight miles and the rest is a rolling downhill until the trailhead past Vail, AZ.
I've put together the route on Hike Arizona if you want to check it out: http://hikearizona.com/map.php?MY=3163&M=2
While I'm trying to schedule a drop off for the hikers we may still need to have a shuttle set up if that falls through.
The terrain ranges from moderate to moderately difficult. Given the distances we plan on traversing we won't be rocketing through but hiking slightly slower but for much longer periods.
*This is definitely NOT a beginner hike. Please make an honest assessment of your fitness, skills and gear before signing up.
